Over the years it has held many concerts,mainly in Swansea and west Wales, and has competed successfully in competitions and eisteddfodau. It has gained the first prize four times in the Pan-celtic competition, held annually in Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The choir has travelled on many European tours, giving concerts in Munich, Berlin, Prague, Salzburg, Gdansk, Krakow, Barcelona, Wittenberg and travelled in 2011 to Rovigo, Italy. The choir has sung since then in London and Liverpool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The choir sings a variety of Welsh traditional and modern songs, and also has a classical and religious international repertoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The choir welcomes Welsh speakers and learners of Welsh, and offers the latter an ideal opportunity to immerse themselves in Welsh culture and to enjoy socialising in the Welsh language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Edward Rhys-Harry, of Penclawdd, is the choir&#8217;s conductor, and the accompanist is Dr Fiona Gannon of Clydach. Edward is a well-known conductor and has conducted choirs in Wales and England, and has conducted concerts in many parts of Europe. In 2022 he won the main musician&#8217;s prize in the Cardigan National Eisteddfod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 1990 &#8211; 2021 the choir was led by Helen Gibbon, who has won the soprano solo competition at the National Eisteddfod of Wales four times.
